This whole offense is built on one question for the play caller. IF the defense is doing something to take a play away, THEN what is our answer? This is the clinic talk on how we build those answers ahead of time, so Friday night is about calling them instead of coming up with them on the sideline.
It starts with the basic rules: if a playside defender is making the play, we answer with formations, shifts and blocking adjustments. If a backside defender is making the play, we go to the RPO game. If a DB is making the play, play action should be open. Then it walks through real examples on film: the safety over-reacting to Peek, man zero staying flat, the defense over-reacting to Trojan on both sides, DBs jumping our crack blocks, and defenses chasing our shifts.
