Our goal is to have a run/pass option every time we run strong. The RPO game protects our runs from defenses trying to gain numbers, creates explosive plays when the defense over-commits, and lets us read as many defenders as our QB can handle. This is the clinic talk on how we do it.
It covers bubble and fast, Peek (with X, Y and B Peek), Y and B Pop, Key for the QB who is a better runner than thrower, the Steal call against three-man fronts, Y Chute out of our over sets, and read routes. Every one has the teaching points, the drawing off Buck and game film.
